“If you always do what you’ve always done…”

You’ve probably heard the quote a thousand times: “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.”  That sound familiar?  Unfortunately, in my opinion, it’s not true anymore.  In fact, if you keep on doing what you’ve always been doing, you’ll probably wind up with less!  Less money, less leads, less referrals, etc.  Think about it: if you do the same marketing you did this year in 2013, won’t you just be reaching the same ole people you’ve already reached before?  If you charge the same amount for your services, will you make more money or less or the same?  Even if you make the same, it’s less due to inflation!  So mix it up, try something new, add a new lead generation tactic to your mix, re-write your scripts and dialogues, meet with new people for those 1-on-1’s, try some different exercises at the gym, and so on.  And please, please, please, if you haven’t already done so, write out your 2013 goals (with your plan of action) by year, 1st quarter, and month of January NOW!  2013 is almost upon us, assuming of course the world is still around on Saturday.  Happy Holidays to each and every one of you!
