“Regret for the things we did can be tempered over time; it is regret for things we did not do that is inconsolable.” — Sydney J. Harris. Now ain’t that the truth! I’ve done some foolish things in my life and still regret them to this day (though I notice that the regrets do fade over time). But it’s the things I DIDN’T do that I wish I had that I have more regrets about, like spending more time with my daughter when she was growing up, or being nicer and kinder to my wife on a more consistent basis. But guess what? It’s not too late to do those things NOW! (assuming the people you want to do them with are still alive). So stop regretting and get to it!
