I’m pleased to announce that I’ve embarked upon a new career after being self-employed for 40 years (though I’m still going to be doing coaching, training, and consulting). I’ve taken on a new position as a Land Banking Consultant with Velur Enterprises. Land banking is buying pre-developed land in the path of growth and then waiting for that growth to catch up and the developers to come knocking on your door. As many of you already know, my wife and I own 9 properties through Velur that we’ve purchased over the last 4 years, and they liked my commitment, knowledge, sales skills, and passion for land banking, so I’m now working for them. Needless to say, I had to confront some huge concerns and considerations about adding a whole new direction to my life, but I was reminded of a quote from Helen Keller: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” I’ve chosen the daring adventure, and hopefully my decision at 67-years-young will be an inspiration to you to step on out there and take some risks.
